A truly unique opportunity exists for the right person to join this dynamic NGO that is dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and release of all bird species in Belize.
We are seeking an additional staff member to become an integral part of a cohesive and committed team working with every aspect of avian rehabilitation including transportation, capture and rescue, medical care, hand-raising, diet, husbandry, enclosure enrichment, and in most cases, release
The successful candidate will also be expected to take active involvement in managing hotline calls, public awareness, outreach, social media and fundraising.
This is a dynamic position that includes working long hours in all-weather conditions. You must be truly passionate about birds and have a love for all animals, no exceptions! Applicants should be receptive to training and want to learn every aspect of avian rehabilitation.
An employment opportunity with Belize Bird Rescue does not come along often. We are looking for absolutely the right person. Is that you?
Applicants must be;
• Passionate about wildlife
• Belizean National or Resident
• English and Spanish speaking
• Able to get to and from work in Roaring Creek, Cayo District
• Able to work weekends and holidays in shifts
• Willing to work as part of a small team, as well as independently
• Must have a good standard of written English
• Preferably able to drive a standard vehicle
No experience is necessary as full training will be given
