This young Red-lored Amazon was recently confiscated and arrived at Belize Bird Rescue in very poor condition. Thankfully, he is now recovering well. His story is a reminder of the risks faced by young wild parrots when they are removed from the wild and kept in captivity without the specialised care they need. With the right care and rehabilitation, we hope he will have the opportunity to return to the wild where he belongs.
